Participation:
If you are in the top 100 of the Leader Ranking on 31 Aug 2009, 22:00 (UTC), you are automatically eligible for participation. This makes a total of 800 players. (200 per server)
Other means of participation:
In the Chaos Battle, regardless of the result, you get a KWC lottery. You can turn this in to [Manager] Billbor in Moradon. 5 tickets are required per registration. After the event period, 500 accounts are drawn at random and given KWC participation rights.
(NOTE: The above only applies to JPKO. In USKO the method will probably be: [sarcasm]you must have Platinum Premium and buy the highest possible amount of KC that is sold to get one KWC ticket.[/sarcasm])

Rules:
Everyone will use a special account for the purpose of the KWC. The characters created have the following properties:
Level 83
Stat Points 592
Skill Points 148
Start with 300 million Noahs in possession
Characters are deleted every day. You must create a new character before each battle.
You can purchase equipment from the extended shop NPCs.
+8 weapons of all types are available.
+8 armors of the first 7 series are available.
+3 unique accessories are available. (List is provided but I don't feel like copying it)
Most Power Up Shop booster items (2000 HP scroll, 350 AC scroll etc.) are available.
All skills for levels 1~83 can be used, but the Calling Friend Scroll is not available.
Commanders are determined by Ronark Land ranking.
Most game features are disabled in the KWC event. The only maps available are: Moradon, El Morad, Karus, Ronark Land and Alseids Prairie (the war map). There are no monsters. Most NPCs are missing too.
War Rules:
Instead of winning by killing the warders and keeper, victory is determined by the score of each nation.
50 NP is awarded per kill and 25 is lost when dying. Characters start with 1000 NP.
Bonus points for killing NPCs:
Warders: 50% of current score
Keeper: 80% of current score
Search party: 20 points
Rewards:
Based on ranking,
1st place: 30% EXP+Contribution event
2st place: 20% EXP+Contribution event
3st place: 10% EXP+Contribution event
The event is applied from 24 Sept 2009 until 1 Oct 2009, between maintenance dates.
In addition, the top 3 characters of each class are rewarded with a special KWC2009 weapon (equivalent of a +7 satanism weapon but not upgradeable) and 3/2/1 gold bars (based on ranking). Note that even if you create the same class of character for multiple battles, they count as separate characters and their achievements don't add up.
Finally, the top 200 players on the leader ranking will receive:
1st war: Ibexs/Crisis pet transformation scroll
2nd war: Master's Teaching (+10 to all stats for all party members)
Finals: Shiny Wings of the War Hero with 15 day expiration (+3% physical attack, +50 defense, +500 Carry Weight)
(These are the rewards for JPKO. The rewards for USKO will probably be:

1st place: 1000 Water of Ibexs and Potion of Crisis
2nd place: 500 Water of Ibexs and Potion of Crisis
3rd place: 100 Water of Ibexs and Potion of Crisis
The top 3 players of each class will receive an Energy Rock with 14 days of expiration
The top 200 players on the leader ranking will receive:
1st war: Magical Umbrella
2nd war: Magic Cleaning Tool
Finals: 14 day free use of Heaven Fire

JPKO Patch 1790 Notes
- Monster Stone changes
From now on, rather than various kinds of Monster Stones, you can get one item called "Monster's Stone". This will warp you into a random dungeon based on your level. The stone can only be used in solo rather than in party. The new monster stone can't be placed in the warehouse.
- Manager Billbor will exchange your old Monster Stones with the new item. This is a limited period event.
- You can use the Monster Specialist placed inside to get an AP (or +150% Magical Attack for mages) buff or a HP, AC buff like the National Enchanters.
